I experimented a little with VCO from Nokia phone (R0464), added an RF amplifier and a microphone. The range of this fm bug is up to 1km with full CR2032 battery and good conditions. As the battery discharges, the range s as well as the TX frequency. The bug can be received at a frequency of around 430 MHz and that depends on the battery voltage.

It might be "yet another" «device» controller that operates over phone-line, but this one works for sure :)
The task was to build a device that connects to the phone line and has a relay as an output switch. It should also sense if the connected «consumer» is turned-on or off and report to the administrator at the other end of the phone line. The administrator would then call-in the device, log in with the password, and check the state of «consumer», turn it on or off, change password or some other settings.
Current version has only one relay.

This device acts as interface between your microcontroller project and a GSM phone. It handles all modem data communication between the GSM phone and your micro-project. The best thing is that it decodes PDU into TEXT on the fly! It means that you can easily SMS-enable your any project without need for learning AT commands and parsing complicated data when talking to AT modem inside the phone. If every phone was like eg. Nokia 6210 life would be pretty nice. Just build a cable to enable its F-BUS (www.atrox.at) and that's it, you can start using SMS messages in text-mode. Other cheaper phones such as Siemens C/M35, S25 and many Ericsson phones do not support text-mode for SMS messaging. Instead, they can only be used in pdu-mode. The good thing about them is that they are very cheap and do not require any external cables for initialization. They have their RS232 (TX, RX and GND) port and that's it – you are ready to talk to the modem inside it. That's what SMS Box! is all about.

After programming just supply power to the device. After pressing the button "Pokreni dojavu alarma" it will start to dial (tone or pulse, depending on the jumper setup). When the phone call is succesfully established, the called party should press pound key "#" to stop the device from calling another number or again.

Lock with RFID cards

RFID Lock is an electronic lock with wireless RFID cards. In my case, I had RFID reader that works with 125kHz read-only unique cards and a few corresponding cards. RFID reader is ID-12 reader which I got from Elatec. The device has one relay, PIC micro, RFID reader, two pushbuttons, 4 LEDs and a few passives. The lock can remember up to 5 different cards.
